Bagpipers Used to Scare Sewer Rats
« on: May 29, 2010, 04:55:40 PM »
I think we all could have guessed this.

A company that gives tours of the sewers in Vienna (the one in Austria, not the one in West Virginia) is using kilt-clad bagpipers to frighten the sewer rats away.  :swoon:

So, what's scaring the rats away?  The pipes, or the scotsman in a kilt?

I've always rather enjoyed pipes, guess it's my Scots heritage.

Can't stand the noise of bagpipes, this stems from the yearly band competition in the fields behind my house, the sound of them warming up or practicing or whatever they are doing usually scares me away. I did wear a kilt once when I was an usher at my now brother and sister in laws wedding. Traditional style with no underwear, surprisingly liberating.  ;)

What's the difference between a bagpipe and an onion?

Nobody cries when they chop up a bagpipe!
