Amazing 1:8 Scale McLaren
« on: July 06, 2010, 12:53:37 PM »

Here is your chance to own an amazing 1:8 Scale Replica of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4/25 that was raced to victory by Jenson Button in the 2010 Australian Grand Prix. It was his maiden victory for the McLaren team.

Detailed enough to impress auto aficionados and collectors, this 1:8 scale marvel is the real thing in every sense. Recreated by Amalgam, the replica shows no signs of deviation from the real car when it comes to replication. The scale model features the “option” compound, green striped, Bridgestone Potenza tires and the revolutionary rear-wing stalling device called the F-Duct. Seriously, you will have a hard time focusing on the fact that it’s a scale replica and not a full-size car. Weighing 16kg, this piece of automotive history will set you back £2,950 (US $4,485).

Do you have to get it with the option tires, or is the harder compound available for a longer stint?
